City Sightseeing Bus
Visitors can ride the double-decked City Sightseeing Buses for a one-day fun trip of Shanghai. Serving people in the same way as public buses, the City Sightseeing Buses run two routes respectively in Puxi area and Pudong area. Audio guides are available in the bus. Visitors can get a free earphone for free when they are aboard. After they install the earphone into the opening provided, Visitors can receive introductions of places of interest in the city in 8 different languages, including English, German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Chinese. Visitors can either have a through trip or stop at any stations at will. The through ticket is valid for unlimited rides in 24 hours at the cost of CNY30. One adult could take one child under 1.4m for free.

Nanjing Road Sightseeing Bus
There are special sightseeing buses on the Nanjing Road. Composed of several small compartments, the electric-powered buses take visitors through the bustling Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. This bus moves slowly and you can take photos while traveling the street. The operating time is from 08:00 to 22:30 every day. The fare is CNY2 per person. Some of the vehicles are in the shapes of lovely cartoon animals, and decorated with colorful sparkling lights at night that attract many visitors.

Tourist Bus Lines
These ten lines all start at Shanghai Stadium and cover almost all of the famous attractions in the city center, the suburbs and those in neighboring areas. Each tourist line represents an option for a one-day tour. Schedules can be arranged in accordance with the timetable information on the ten lines given below:

Runs to Dongping National Forest Park in Chongming County, the largest offshore island in Shanghai. The tourist bus need to be transported by a ferryboat operating between Baoyang Port on the mainland and Nanmen Port in Chongming. The ferryboat departs from Baoyang Port at 8:30, 9:00, 13:00, 16:45, and 17:00.

A special line bound for Wuxi and the Mt. Lingshan Scenic Area in Jiangsu Province. Eight buses operate on the route to Wuxi on weekdays, with those to Mt. Lingshan only available at 08:30 on weekends or holidays.

 Zhangjiang Tram
Shanghai once has tramway and widespread tram network with more than 320 tramcars in 1925 which was completely stops by mid-1970s. After more than one year's construction and over half a year's of debugging, the first modern tram line, Zhangjiang Tram, started its commercial service since the first day of 2010. 

The tram line is totally 9.8km from Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park Station of Subway Line 2 to Zhangdong Road Jinqiu Road. There are 15 stops along the route. By now, eight tramcars has been put into use.
