There are special sightseeing buses on the Nanjing Road. Composed of several small compartments, the electric-powered buses take visitors through the bustling Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. This bus moves slowly and you can take photos while traveling the street. The operating time is from 08:00 to 22:30 every day. The fare is CNY2 per person. Some of the vehicles are in the shapes of lovely cartoon animals, and decorated with colorful sparkling lights at night that attract many visitors.

Shanghai once has tramway and widespread tram network with more than 320 tramcars in 1925 which was completely stops by mid-1970s. After more than one year's construction and over half a year's of debugging, the first modern tram line, Zhangjiang Tram, started its commercial service since the first day of 2010.
The tram line is totally 9.8km from Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park Station of Subway Line 2 to Zhangdong Road Jinqiu Road. There are 15 stops along the route. By now, eight tramcars has been put into use.
