While President Trump has been a steadfast supporter of Israel, his Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff has openly aligned with Qatar — the same regime that funds Hamas and shields its leaders.

In a recent softball interview withTucker Carlson, Witkoff’s statements about “trusting the Qataris” — a nation enabling Hamas terror — are not only reckless but dangerously misleading.

Calling them “good, decent people” who desire peace is a blatant distortion of reality. This is the same failed appeasement we saw under Bush, Obama, and Biden. It must not happen again.

Witkoff showered praise on Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed, calling him “a good man” and “a special guy.” Carlson eagerly agreed. But this wasn’t just idle flattery. Witkoff went even further, defending Qatar as a fair mediator, despite its well-documented role in funding Hamas and providing refuge to terrorist leaders.

He absurdly claimed that Qatar’s motivations were purely about “peace” and gaining recognition as a “peacemaker,” and falsely suggested that the country is unfairly maligned by the U.S. media.

In truth, mainstream media rarely criticize Qatar — it’s the conservative voices and independent journalists like World Israel News who dare to call out its dangerous influence.

Witkoff also said that Hamas could remain “politically involved” in Gaza, as long as they pretend to demilitarize. His claim that Hamas is not "ideologically entrenched" is a dangerous fantasy that can cost countless more innocent lives.
